The Dragon
This 'local in the city centre' really does live up to its name; within five minutes you feel as though you know everybody behind the bar and that the old man in the corner is your best friend. With eclectic music played all day and a range of freshly prepared food served to order, it's the perfect place for an extended lunch hour or a couple of cheeky afternoon pints. Top marks go the owner for the subtle lighting and arguably one of the best hidden smoking areas in the city. Thankfully it seems to bypass the stag and hen parties on a Saturday night, rather being a place to chill out with friends and slowly drink into a stupor before stumbling across the road for the bus.
