Nottingham Ice Arena
The centrepiece of anything has to be either shiny, enormous, have the words Vegas in it or be wrapped in bacon. One of these certainly applies to Nottingham's £43 million ice arena which is indisputably the big balls of anything in the midlands catchment. No, it's not wrapped in bacon, unfortunately. It's simply massive. Events wise it's not something you fall into on a night out but the weekend ice skating certainly might be. Great fun for couples or families but do check the website for weekend events as it's pretty likely that something interesting will be on.
