Well worth striding into Sneinton to see, particularly if you couple your adventure with a visit to Green's Mill as well. It's a really traditional pub with all the small snug seating areas, the obligatory maroon or dark red carpets and upholstery and all the accompanying beams and brasses to entertain your great gran for hours on end. The atmosphere's great, it's unpretentious and homely and it's clean (fast becoming a rarity, like being smokefree is enough). Traditional Sunday roast is popular and they do two (count 'em) veggie alternatives. Hip hip Horatio, say us.
