Clumber Park

The park stretches over 1,500 hectares of woods and farmland and open heath with a serpentine lake and the longest avenue of lime trees in Europe. The park rangers run special walks – what we mean is they organise them, rather than actually run on them. Whatever, we liked the sound of the mushroom and fungi forage, which is rounded off with a wild mushroom-based meal. If you're tempted, make sure you pay attention, or call your nearest and dearest before you set off.
