The Blue Bell
Some call it a 'throwback', some a 'treasure', so you'll probably either hate it or love it. It's worthy of a visit either way we reckon: step inside from the back of the Cornerhouse area and you'll feel like you've travelled back in time. With its still nicotine-stained wallpaper, little nooks and crannies, brewery mirrors, patterned carpets and heavy chintz curtains, it certainly isn't the typical city centre trendy light-wood-and-stainless-steel drinking hole. They do serve food, but if you're peckish, it might be better if you hang on a bit and grab a bite to eat once you're fully back in the here and now.
