Sneinton Market

The sketchy characters sloping back and forth between the market and the local flick-knife boozers might give the sharper visitors to this place a clue that this isn't located in what's known for being the most savoury area of town, this one. Many are the faint-hearted that haven't managed to brave out the intimidation to make it down. Not Itchy though. Hard as nails, we are. Venture down among the barrows and polythene and you'll find Sneinton market really is worth a look, if only for the fantastic sweet stall. Come on readers, what are you? Men/women or mice?

Sneinton Market is great. There is now a monthly Arts Market called 'Apples and Pears and Crafty Wares' which brings a spitalfields vibe to the sqare on the fourth Saturday of every month. Well worth checking out, for some local independant sellers, handmade goods, jewellery local fresh food and vintage clothing and homewares.
