The Victoria Hotel
The selection of real ale is tremendous; the food's consistently high quality and original, there are always loads of veggie and to-share choices and they host local quality bands. The staff, however, seem to work on a commission of rudeness and go a long way to undoing any potential charm this pub could have. Like in a lot of gastro pubs the people in this place need to understand they're working in a service industry and that asking them a simple question, like requesting a drink, is not the same as spitting in their face. Or insulting their mum.
