Wollaton Hall and Park
The Hall itself is closed for refurbishment until Easter 2007, so you won't be able to visit the excellent Natural History Museum 'til then, but the Yard Gallery, Industrial Museum and the park itself are all still accessible. Wollaton has its own herd of deer which roam the 500 acre parkland and there's a cool adventure playground where you can indulge your inner child. Make sure the real kids get a go on the slide as well though. Just between you and us, it also (unofficially) has the best slopes for sledging near the city, but don't let everyone know.
