Holme Pierrepont – The National Water Sports Centre
We are lucky to be home to the National Water Sports Centre (as featured on ITV1's The Games). It's located five minutes from the city centre with facilities including; 2000m Regatta lake, 700m Slalom Course, 270 acre country park, White Water Rafting, Canoeing and Kayaking. Take a drink of Coke for afterwards, as it is said to counteract the rats' urine which is abundant in the waters of the Trent. Yum.
