Plava Laguna
The owner of this tiny café, about halfway up Mansfield Road, is from former Yugoslavia, hence the name meaning 'Blue Lagoon'. Her influence can also be seen in some of the dishes, which include Bosnian cheese pie and goulash to name but a couple. Service always comes with a smile and the staff are always up for a chinwag. It is tiny though, so unless you're incredibly lucky it might be better as a takeaway option, especially since the crafty buggers have officially classed themselves as a takeaway so they don't have to provide a toilet. If only it stayed open later, we'd forgive them though, because it's fantastic.
