Café Rouge
Slap bang in the middle of one of the busiest shopping streets in Nottingham, Café Rouge is a handy place to stop mid or post-shop (if you can find a table that is). With a bistro/brasserie atmosphere and serving a range of traditional French dishes (not forgetting a good selection of fine gallic wine), it's trés chic and full up most nights, especially on a Friday night when live jazz is on the menu. That said, the food is pretty average, but every now and then we all need a little something French in our lives, and coming here has to be better than seducing a foreign exchange student.
