The Canalhouse

Situated in the old Canal Museum, this bar has said canal running right through it. A diddy footbridge leads you in, where a barge bobs about, adding to the quaint effect. What a shame then that the actual water is foul. You'd have to be off your (abandoned shopping) trolley to dip even a hairy little toe in it (and it'd probably come out replete with used condom attached, too), yet you'll still find idiots indulging in full-on impromptu self-baptisms come summer. Itchy sticks to partaking of the body and the blood with a splendid sandwich and a pint. Amen.
