The Works (closed)

It's only appropriate that the Cornerhouse, Nottingham's newest and most impressive entertainment complex, should house the city's biggest and most ambitious nightclub. The Works is Nottingham's largest club venue with a capacity of over 2000. The club itself is divided into two main rooms, with the first being predominantly dedicated to commercial dance and house music, and the second room generally taking a more staple party music path. Another major feature that separates The Works from most clubs is the bar area, which is open for normal trading hours throughout the week and offers some pretty decent food. In addition to this the main dance rooms are also open every evening from Monday to Sunday. Seven day a week dance floor action may be great news for Nottingham's hardcore clubbers/pullers but I'm not sure how well it will go down with the city's major employers. Just remember you've got work tomorrow. Oh sod it. Get the beers in.
