South Bank Bar
This place broke the mould for Trent Bridge boozers when it opened last year. Before, your only choice was between which old–skool pub to go in and watch the football, and now you can come to this cool, modern bar, and well, watch the football. With its proximity to Nottingham's major sporting venues – and Meadow Lane – it's not surprisingly popular with T.V. sports addicts, who you'll find glued to the big screens. But it's not all sport, sport, sport, as this has proved a popular venue with West Bridgford's young student population, often making it their first port of call on the way into town or calling in for a recovery brekkie. A testament to just how popular is the fact that its recently been expanded to twice its original size.
