Opened summer 2000 and proved an instant success. Housed in an impressive 17th Century building with an enclosed oriental garden, and only a short walk from Nottingham Castle. As the name might suggest there's a selection of world foods on offer, and with the daily changing menu it's very difficult to categorise. English and European dishes sit comfortably with oriental and Asian cuisine, all prepared to a fine standard. Surprisingly reasonable prices, given the grandiose surroundings, bar area open to non-diners, outdoor seating, plus separate smaller rooms if you're looking for a little privacy.
