The Canalhouse Restaurant
The fact that this restaurant is situated on the first floor above the 'Canalhouse' bar gives little indication to the refined nature of the menu, or the relaxed atmosphere. An entirely self–contained medium–sized restaurant offering an impressive choice of fine world food. Pitched at the higher end of the market, the presentation is very good without being over fussy, and the dishes combine the freshest produce, tender meats and light subtle flavours. Very difficult to single out individual dishes for praise, as the whole menu impresses, but the duck confit with caramelised onions and oriental rice is excellent. Certainly not cheap, but you can't complain at the price when it's backed up by a quality meal, and that's exactly what the Canalhouse provides.
