With more uncertainty surrounding the quality of the British summer than that of
Britain's success in, well, any given sport, it seems a shame to sacrifice a few hours of sunshine in order to get our
theatre fix. The solution? Swap the theatre stalls for a theatre garden. Better yet, swap them for the grounds of
Nottingham Castle.
For five dates in July and August Nottingham Castle will provide the scenery for
'An Ideal Husband', 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and '
Love in Shakespeare'. Dig out the picnic hampers, camping chairs and sun cream for an evening of theatre in the sun.
