Comedy royalty are set to invade Nottingham this October, bringing with them convulsions, Shakespeare, and a touch of Whose Line is it Anyway-style improvisation. Armstrong & Miller, Jason Manford and the Comedy Store Players are among the acts set to grace venues across the city from 24th September to 4th October.
There's even a play about a woman called Trish, who works in HR but harbours desires to by a cabaret performer.
Oh, and she hates her boss. 80% of the working population should be able to empathise with her, minimum. The play's called HR'd Day's Night, and you can catch it at Nottingham Arts Theatre on 25th & 26th September.
If you've
always dreamed of standing on a stage, trying to make a baying mob of drunkards and critical pedants titter rather than yell insults (and worse) at your head, then you can take part in one of a series of comedy workshops. Hecklers are strictly forbidden from entering these inclusive lessons, so you can practice your art cocooned from the harsh realities of the comedy circuit.
